Brushing Silk
Seeing you walking through the room
Heads turn, eyes wanting, lips talking
On the stroll, others flashing smiles
Under that spell you cast, they all fall
Looking this way, melting my resolve
Doubtful the emotions pull can be stopped
Every eye follows you all the way to me
Rising up on your toes, this head dips low
Touching fingers, brushing thighs, tossing locks
Once around you’re spun, then half way again
Kindred and breathy, endearments tickling ears
Insolent lips taking time to find the neck’s nape
Scent of bitter orange rising, tempting sweetly
Secure and sure, safely wrapped in love’s arms
One kiss, lips linger, another kiss near the other
Nearing shoulders point, one last kiss, a promise for tonight

Hi Gary,
I hadn’t heard from you in a while, so I wanted to check in with you and make sure you were still alive and well.
1. So, you are a poet, who knew? Your poem was beautiful.
2. Do you know Italian? I read Simona’s comment.
3. Are you aware I am self-hosting? I am moving to a new site, mostlyblogging.com this week.
I hope you wll continue your visits over there. I’ve missed our interactions.

Hello Janice.
Thank you on my poem.
Good to see you drop in for a look see.
I am eclectic. Poetry, Art, Coaching aka coping skills through my musings.
Part of my philosophy as a Life Coach is showing that I do indeed have one! It is important to show yourself so you’re not seen as just a talking head. That is the highly condensed version.
Yes I’ll be dropping by. You can get to my email from my about page.
