The Bunny

Hello old friend, it is so very good to not see you again
And thank you, and yes O’ furry one I did miss you too
Really and truly I did, doesn’t flow the same without you
Varied places you say, some enjoyable provocative sorts I trust
Each had a charm did they, not quite enough to keep up eh
Yes my friend the same for me, no, none of them enough of you

Response To “Wicked Witch”

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Wicked Witch.”

The Assignment:
Write about evil: how you understand it (or don’t), what you think it means, or a way it’s manifested, either in the world at large or in your life.

The Response:
I understand it better than most. Not only do I have a guardian angel, Lucifer, I am a guardian angel of the arch variety.

I believe I answered quite well on the topic in my piece, “In Perpetuity“.

The poetry is in Acrostic format. Should this be a place where you would like to spend eternity and need help getting there, keep it up!

So y’all know, I also have a witch and a very good friend with magic crystals. While the things they can do are extreme, it aint even close to the level of living undead hell I can put you through. I seem to recall mentioning, “veracity“?

My Baby is 1

My Baby is 1

Got notice yesterday of my first anniversary here at WP. For those of you new to the site WP doesn’t stand for, “Word Perfect” and yet it does too.

I started this blog to showcase my talents and tastes, personal and professional. I’ve said it in other pieces that part of being a “Life Coach” is having and having had a life. I use stories and poetry and musings to share life lessons and coping skills.

I am some what miffed that the powers that be here at WordPress didn’t send me flowers on this special day so I’ve brought one of my own gathered on one of my lunch time walks. I only picked it photographically and left the flower where it was growing for others to enjoy. This flower has been shared with one other person who I met here and has become an important part of my life. The image makes a darn fine desktop wallpaper and you dear reader are free to use it as a wallpaper on your computer.

I do have Facebook and Linkedin accounts. Those places don’t get anywhere near the amount of time from me that my WordPress account gets.

In my time here I’ve had the chance to enjoy the works of others. WordPress along with being a place I can show my works to the world has become a major source of entertainment for me. Like everyone here there are some I follow with email notification and some that appear in my reader. I make use of and enjoy the Freshly Pressed as well.

I love the word. I love ye olde words too. One of those that I’ve really clicked with here at WP would tell you of my love for the olde if I were to tell you whom that individual is. Not gonna happen. I will tell you that here among your peers there are chances to establish real relationships just as you establish real relationships in other facets of your life.

One of the options I haven’t put in to practice is making use of the widget that allows you to display a number of your own favourite pieces. I love all my creations equally and yes there are a few that are more equal than others. If you get that reference leave me a comment.

I keep a chronological list of my postings with a wee blurb from or about the piece.

My goal when I started this Blog was to post something every two days. I look at the chronological list and the number I achieved is 205 postings. Poetry, Photography, Lyrics, Coaching, Digital Art a touch of Eroticism and a few from my Poignant Pen.

I am more than satisfied and pleased with what I’ve done on this Blog in the last year.

On Saturday past I started a second Blog, SPASM. That one is a place where I can conduct myself differently. I did it because I felt constrained. I just wanted a place that can be a different kind of voice. You can use the link and see for yourself.

I haven’t defined goals for the next year. I don’t know if there is a need to define a specific number of postings for this blog. I have gotten used to something posted for the most part, every couple days. The day in between postings leaving a gap should there be something I wish to place at the moment.

The certainty is this, I’ll keep posting and reading and enjoying my time here and wishing I had more time to spend writing and reading.

Regards to you all.

Saturday Pontificating And Selective Musing

Saturday Pontificating and Selective Musing

Been a bit since I’ve just randomly and not mused for the benefit of myself and those who read me.

Those of you who read me, thanks! Those of you who don’t read me, why not?

Toronto is back to normal after the PanAm and Para PanAm games. Not that there was much that you’d notice to cause disruption in the everyday life of us core dwellers. H.O.V. lanes were driving the denizens who had to use the highways around the G.T.A. (Greater Toronto Area) dingy but other than that, not much to speak of in disruption. It was nice that the City did close off parking for the entire day on Front St when the Para PanAm’s opened and closed. That was fair and equitable and unlike what they did for the PanAm opening and closing, no one unfairly got their vehicle towed away!

The Athletes for the PARA GAMES were much more visible on the streets I travel and at the establishments I visit. I think mobility may have been part of the reason. Easier to just make use of the facilities and get around in the area you’re billeted in I suppose.

One of things that did make an impression me was the exuberance the PARA Athletes showed. Not to say that the “able bodied” weren’t pleased to be here just that the greater challenged were out and enjoying Toronto more. I saw the U.S.A.’s wheelchair basket ball team 4 or 5 times. A couple times just enjoying Front St. by the St. Lawrence Market and a couple times using the streets as paths for their cardio work.

I would like to comment on polo shirts I saw one country wearing, and I did go looking for a picture. The sleeves and shoulders looked kind of like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that, that dog Sam created after eating the purple flowers!

I was very pleased to see some of the Para Games Athletes, Coaches and Support Staff stayed beyond on the Games to enjoy Toronto The Good! The smiles and good will of all who visited this city were infectious and the smiles on those who call this city home, welcoming!

In closing on the Para Games I’m pleased to say there was no International Incident when some from the American Team and some from the Cuban team showed up at one of my coffee spots. Oh wait silly me, they were Athletes having a good time and not fear mongering politicians.

Going to be a beautiful afternoon here in Toronto and I think better when I move so I’m off to enjoy it and ponder on some goodies I got in the works!

Dragon’s Loyalty Award

Dragon’s Loyalty Award

My thanks to Laura Bruj for nominating, and bringing me this award.

The rules say announce with a post and like the person who nominated you. Well this is the post and I do like the person who nominated me.

My apologies for not completing this task sooner!

~.~.~.~.

Post 7 interesting things about yourself it says.

1. I like dragons and my first ever favourite song had a dragon.

I’m also a fan of “Jane And The Dragon

Dragon is cool and I do so very much appreciate the art of tearing and shredding!

2. I cut my teeth on Science Fiction and Fantasy as a young person. The first S.F. was, “The Lensman” series by E.E. Doc Smith. I still aspire to be a 3rd Stage Lensman.

3. I very much enjoy the works of others as much as my own and promote them.

4. Sometimes I make up my own words and they work not just for me but for others too.

5. It has indeed been a long strange trip that isn’t over yet and the only one thing I am is Spiritual.

6. I love music and many of music’s genres. As was pointed out to me by a friend and I had never really thought about it, I am lyric driven as opposed to music driven. Y’all are gonna have to figure that out for your selves.

7. I do not hate.
