Warning Signs – Lyric

Warning Signs

Lyric

(chorus)
Once upon a time, there was a time
Wasn’t much in way of reasoning
Ignored all your flashing eyes warning signs

(verse)
From here to there and back to there from here
Can’t quite keep straight what I’m supposed to do
Don’t quite know where I’m supposed to go
This lovin’ baby of mine, got me so I just don’t know

When she’s here she’s gone somewhere else
The calls keep dropping, she can’t say why
Got so many questions you’re going to have to hear
Any one answer could break this lovin’ heart

(chorus)
Once upon a time, there was a time
Wasn’t much in way of reasoning
Ignored all your flashing eyes warning signs

(verse)
More and more feeling I’ve made myself blind
I don’t know what’s got you getting in so late
Would you let me know if you’d found a new flame
Wondering how much more of your lovin’ I can take

Desires died, just like pissing out the fire at night
Almost believe it’s how you wanted this to go
This disinterest is our death so we gotta part
No grave yard sighs, thanks for the lovin’ and goodbye

(chorus end)
Once upon a time, there was a time
Wasn’t much in way of reasoning
Should of paid attention to your signs of the times

Chronological List

Haunting Her – Lyric

Haunting Her

Lyric

Unseen she stepped inside
Know it’s her by the steps
She stares straight ahead
Her face kept firmly set

Padding past the tables
Moving straight on through
Glassy eyes somewhere far
Waiting her turn in Queue

Hear her talking at the till
Voice that completely engulfs
She’s lets out a little laugh
Sees me talking to myself

          What’s got you lady blue
Where are you so far away
Won’t you sit for just a few

Coming back round again
Know she’s seeing everything
Always a table just for you
On her own with what’s disturbing

See her reflection in the glass
Does she know what they took
Lady blue where’s your spark
Had to see my wondering look

Leaving quietly like she came
There’s no smiles or waves
If I could tell you what I see
Only lonely as she leaves

          What’s got you lady blue
Where are you so far away
Couldn’t you of sit for just a few

Everyone’s Girl – Lyric

Everyone’s Girl

Lyric

Her days don’t begin before three
Her nights spent in party grove
Never seen the sun go down
Seen it coming up so damn often
More times than you’d care to know

She’s the one they all want,
She’s the one they wanna take home
She’s the one they’ll kiss and cry for
She’s everyone’s girl

See her prowling in neon blue
Shining like a sapphire mine
Turning all those gawking heads
Growling at the whistling wolves
Giving them the tail swish kiss

She’s the one they all want,
She’s the one they wanna take home
She’s the one they’ll kiss and lie for
She’s everyone’s girl

She loves those night lights
She owns the city streets
Girl just loves to cruise
Done up to the nines
Loaded and easy on the eyes

She’s the one they all want,
She’s the one they wanna take home
She’s the one they’ll kiss and die for
She’s everyone’s girl
Everyone’s girl, my drive

You No More – Lyric

You No More

(Lyric)

Sometimes you just know
just know you got no more
no more love left to give

You’ve gone round and round
and round one more time
more time won’t change this back

I’ve stood down and I’ve stood up
stood up when others talked down
down when I knew you lied again (rest 2 3 4)

You gotta know your hold is gone
You gotta know there’s no more
You gotta know, I gave you all, all, all… of me
Oh Oh…, you gotta know… (rest 2 3 4)

There’s gonna be someone else
someone else after I’m over you
over you and your ghost is gone

You never loved what you had
you had someone who just cared
just cared about you and no other

Won’t have hands holding my heart
my loving heart belongs beside another
beside another that knows how to love (rest 2 3 4)

You gotta know your hold is gone
You gotta know there’s no more
You gotta know, I gave you all, all, all… of me
Oh Oh…, you gotta know… (rest 2 3 4)

In love all alone had to end…
had to end so I could be free…
be free to love another… (rest 2 3 4)

You gotta know, I’ll give her all, all, all… of me
Oh Oh…, you gotta know… Oh Oh…, you gotta know…
she’ll be good to only me

In The Quiet Of The Night – Lyric

In The Quiet Of The Night

(Lyric)

Half past midnight and finally free
free from the demands of a clamoring world
World moving so fast it’s hard to keep your feet
feet feel like miles and the miles feel like hell
Hell just might be the better place to hang
hang until these blues fade back to black

So so good to be here alone
alone with the quiet of the night

Tryin’ to drift away like in that old song
song in my heart that’ll maybe save my soul
Soul feels like it’s been laid out bare
bare and stripped away from the bone
Bone tired with a mind gone out of touch
touch is something that I’ve been out of too

So so good to be here alone
alone with the quiet of the night

Heart needs to let the head fly free
free to make a little fantasy flight
Flight from here to there with no ticket to return
return for what when there’s no who at home
Home as empty as the liars solemn promise
promise of the wish made on a shooting star

So so good to be here alone
alone with the quiet of the night

Stars fading in and out among the clouds
clouds drifting away to where they go
Go quietly with that good night they do
Do I or don’t I just blindly turn away
Away with the blues and the black too
too many nights left to go on lonely but…

So so good to be here alone
alone and living with the quiet of the night

Fallen Angel – Lyric

Fallen Angel

Lyric

Newly fallen she wakes to a different world today
And she’s never
never been on her own before
Went from home on the hill to a home on loan
And she doesn’t have
have even a single soul she can call
Tears are dried, makeup’s so artfully applied
And when she leaves
leaves the door to her heart locked up tight

Prowling round, lost and won’t be found
Angel fell from such an unhappy place
Angel landed in such a strange space
Angel with no smile on her face

The turning heads say she’s coming this way
And there she is
she’s the haunted hunting kind
Nails tapping out some tune only she knows
And she’s marking time
time stepping along the broken road of her life
Not seeing at all and seeing everyone she passed by
And she’s aloof
aloof in the world that’s her lonely desire

Prowling round, lost and can’t be found
Angel fell from a place of fame
Angel landed in the space of blame
Angel with the face of shame

Spends her day roaming blindly from shop to shock
And she cries
cries tears that no one will ever see fall
Heads her way home to die a little more behind that door
And she hates
hates that tomorrow is just one more heartless day
One more loveless day gone in a broken angel’s paradise
And she wants
wants the world to turn again for her for just one day

Making My Way (lyric)

This is actually my 3rd lyric piece The 2nd one you’ve already seen and that is “Closing Time“. The first Lyric I wrote was written over a year ago and in the moment although it is visible, I’m just going to leave it where it currently lies.

There is a 4th lyric as well. A collaboration, a marriage between a piece I wrote and a piece someone else wrote. We aren’t sure when or if that one will show up here. A joint effort with consideration by both for a one person veto.

In the moment, enjoy

Making My Way
(Lyric)

Walking round and round that house of tells
Your voice comes calling out in the dark
Heard you sayin’ it’d be right for this old heart
Summoning up the courage to go kneel out my hells
Gonna go on in, can’t hurt and there’s so much to lose
Through the doors, reading all that stained glass news

Save me, can you save me? save me from what’s got me
Save me, you can save me? save me from what’s to see!

Came here before, to long ago to remember when
Pages reaching out from your bent and broken books
Tombs filled with the tomes of those who wouldn’t look
Tracts leading down, don’t want to be in those with them
Story told, in time might set this free, resolve is bending
Demon ways, long out of control, mind starts trembling

Want me, can you want me? want me knowing I don’t come clean
Want me, you can want me? want me knowing what I’ve been

Plans of being something else to talk about all went wrong
All the choices that could of lead to different places
Turned away from those that could of helped find other spaces
Everything turned crazy, didn’t take very long
Now it’s getting so close to the very end
Wondering can this be enough to make amends

Take me, can you just take me? take me cuz it wasn’t really fun
Take me, you can just take me? take me cuz now it’s really done

No more making fun

Now it’s just all done

Save me, Want me, Take me, Before I run again

Closing Time

Closing Time

You can see the date this was finished at the end. It has been in my vault while others have had it to get going on putting the dots to it. By the dots I mean the music. We don’t know how long that may take.

So, this “Lyric” is with some people I know. One is Blues Rock and the other are people I did some album art for a number of years who seem to have gone Country.

Perhaps you’re asking why two? A number of years ago there were 2 films released at the same time, Dangerous Liaisons and Valmont? Same story for both films but different perspective on how the story should be told.

Yes I have other lyrics with the people I know. No one trick pony here. One of them a collaboration,  a marriage of something I’d written with something someone else wrote.

And before you read, for those of you who may not have had the experience, nothing good happens after 2:00 am! If you aren’t already in bed, go home!

Enjoy

Closing Time

Another time, another place,
you’d become not just another face
The only clock shows just past two,
only ones left us and the drunken few
Time we needed to just stand still,
running on fumes recalling the thrill

The feelings you’re hiding from keep you on the run
The moments you’re wishing this thing hadn’t even begun

Minutes working their way through the hour,
the bodies around us barely under power
Moving hands counting down to destruction,
voice raising up heading for an eruption
Blowing hotter with every word attack,
best cool it out before burning the way back

The feelings you’re dropping keep you from jumping
The moments you’re cursing feed the numbing

Sun is making signs of life in a dusty corner,
I’ll be outside under the sign pointing to disorder
You can join me for some time while the ball is risin’
talk some more about a road to some new horizon,
We could spend all the clock looking for rhythm to rhyme,
In the end it’ll be hitting two and we know, it’s closing time

The feelings you’re holding to keep you remembering me
The moments you’re softly smiling, you know it had to be
